How Dubashi teaches

Three connected ways of practising, all built around the same coach, plus the writing system that lets you read a language aloud before you can read its own script.

A substitution drill in a Dubashi Learn lesson

Lessons with Sara

Short daily lessons voiced by Sara, your coach. She explains a new pattern in your own language — this is how your language does it, here's how the new one does it differently — then walks you through a natural dialogue and a few substitution drills you speak out loud.

A Roleplay conversation with a Dialogue Prompt whisper card

Roleplay

Unscripted conversation with Sara in a real situation — either one built into a lesson, or one you describe yourself. Nothing is graded. If you get stuck, say it in your own language and Sara hands you the exact phrase, then waits for you to try again.

A Shadow listen-and-repeat line

Shadow

A quick listen-and-repeat drill for pronunciation, right from your own device. Sara plays a line, you say it back straight away, and it moves to the next one.

One real line

From the very first scene of the Telugu → Tamil course. A neighbour says hello at the gate:

Tamil

வணக்கம்! நல்லா இருக்கீங்களா?

Roman spelling

vanakkam! nallaa irukkeengalaa?

Written in Telugu, so a Telugu speaker can read it aloud

వణక్కం! నల్లా ఇరుక్కీంగళా?

Meaning, in Telugu

నమస్తే! బాగున్నారా?

Roman spelling of the meaning

namaste! baagunnaaraa?

This is the full ladder, in the order the app shows it. You choose in Settings which layers appear.
